As the recognised independent trade union representing Lloyds store pharmacists, the PDA has built a network of trained representatives. Supported by PDA staff, the network are Lloyds pharmacists standing up for their colleagues. Here is the team.
Anjlee Shah
PDA National Representative for South East England
I’ve worked for LloydsPharmacy since 2014 and I very much enjoy working in a public facing role and engaging my patients with the many services we have to offer, ensuring these are easily accessible in my pharmacy.
I’m involved in the PDA as I truly believe in the PDA’s ethos and I’m a Regional Committee Member for Wales and West England. I’m proactive in the PDA’s Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Networks as I feel that it’s fundamental to have adequate representation and connect with our peers. I’m passionate about the welfare of my fellow pharmacists and raising awareness of the PDA. Seeing the PDA secure trade union recognition for LloydsPharmacy, especially during HeartUnions Week was extremely welcomed news. I’m excited to represent my colleagues in LloydsPharmacy with the goals of engaging and empowering Lloyds pharmacists to have a strong voice in any employment issues or concerns.
I’m grateful and proud of what the PDA and everybody involved stand for and have achieved and I urge pharmacists to join, if they haven’t done so already!
Eddie Njenga
PDA Regional Representative for South East England
I am and have been a long-standing member of the PDA. I have participated as a PDA regional representative and was part of the TUPE committee that negotiated employee terms on behalf of Sainsbury’s staff in 2016 when Lloyd’s took over.
I am looking forward to undertaking the role of PDA representative at Lloyds and feel positive about my abilities to fairly represent my colleagues on behalf of Lloyd’s and the PDA.
I am prepared to learn all the legal attributes of this role and will be fully committed to bringing through fairness and integrity for the good of both parties.
Feroz Jussab
PDA Regional Representative for East Midlands
I currently work as a Mental Health Pharmacist Multi-Site Manager covering both North and South Warwickshire. I have spent my entire ten-year career thus far with LloydsPharmacy. I completed my pre-reg in 2011, after a brief stint as a relief manager I went on to manage two community pharmacies over 5 years before embarking on my next career path to mental health pharmacy. I completed my post graduate certificate in psychiatric therapeutics in 2019, with support from LloydsPharmacy and the NHS. I am a massive advocate for great working conditions and empowering personnel. I have extensive HR experience within a corporate organisation and currently the HR lead for my region. Most important of all, I am a pharmacy enthusiast through and through!
Jahn Dad Khan
PDA National Representative for North West England
I have been a pharmacist for 27 years and most of my career in community pharmacy has been with LloydsPharmacy and further still I was a founding member of the PDA. Throughout my professional career I have campaigned for better pharmacist working conditions and for pharmacists to have more fulfilling clinical roles.
My aim in my role as national representative is to emulate the work done by the divisional representatives of Boots especially at a time of great turmoil within LloydsPharmacy by improving the lives of practicing pharmacists and keeping a professional image through collaboration with the Lloyds senior team to create such an environment for all Lloyds pharmacists. I see many pharmacists in Lloyds that are disillusioned and through myself and other reps in Lloyds for the first time they will have a voice and someone who will champion their cause and more importantly someone who will listen to their concerns and act in their best interests.
Brian Henderson
PDA National Representative for Scotland
I graduated from Strathclyde University in 2001, then completed my pre-reg year with LloydsPharmacy and qualified in 2002. I have worked exclusively in community pharmacy with Lloyds, mainly in the positions of Relief Pharmacist and Pharmacist Manager. I joined the PDA in 2020. I have been in my current role as Base Pharmacist (Prison Contract), since 2018. I see the recognition agreement between Lloyds and the PDA as a genuine opportunity to help improve working conditions for Pharmacists in Lloyds. As a National Representative, I hope to play a part in making that happen by supporting colleagues and representing their views.
