Organisational Structure

The National Executive Committee (NEC) comprises:

– Six directly elected officers

– General Secretary

– Assistant General Secretary (Strategic)

– Assistant General Secretary (Tactical)

– Assistant General Secretary (Administration and Membership)

– Assistant General Secretary (Equality, Diversity & Inclusion)

– Treasurer

-Regional Representatives

One each from each of the four PDA regions within the UK:

• Scotland and Northern Ireland
• Northern England
• Southern England
• Western England & Wales

The Regional Committees each have representatives for:

– Community pharmacists

– Hospital pharmacists

– Locums

– Primary Care and Specialist pharmacists

– One member attends the National Executive representing students and foundation year trainees

How postcodes fit into our Regions

Members have the right to bring any topic directly to the notice of the National Executive Committee or through their Membership Groups.

• National Executive Officers

  There are six officers forming the executive arm of the National Executive.

• Representing Pharmacists

  Regional committees have representatives of community & hospital employees, locums and primary care / specialist pharmacists with current, front line experience. You can contact them about issues affecting you. Find out about the types of issues the reps discuss at their meetings.

• Pre-Reg & Students

  If you are a pre-registration pharmacist or a pharmacy student, you have a channel to communicate with the PDA Union directly through a representative on the National Executive.
