With more than 40,000 members we are the largest pharmacist membership organisation and the only independent trade union exclusively for pharmacists in the UK.

With temperatures due to soar over 30 degrees over the next few days, the PDA is urging employers to keep pharmacists and other employees safe in hot weather. The PDA is also reissuing its general factsheet to help members keep cool in the heat and identify signs of heat stroke and heat exhaustion in colleagues and patients.

The General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland (PSNI) are consulting separately on proposed changes to registration fees for pharmacists. The payment of fees is mandatory to practice as a pharmacist.
