VACCINATIONS: All vaccinations delivered by suitably trained pharmacists have always been covered by indemnity insurance as part of the standard PDA membership apart from Covid-19. For new membership renewals after January 1st, 2026, Covid-19 vaccinations are now also automatically covered.
The PDA (Pharmacists’ Defence Association)
The PDA’s principal objective is to safeguard, maintain the honour, and promote the interests of pharmacists in their exercise of the profession of pharmacy. This means that it specifically supports the needs of individual employed and locum pharmacists and those in training across all sectors. The PDA represents their interests, defends their reputation, supports their practice, and protects their careers. It does not allow businesses into membership, so it never has any conflicts with its principal role. The PDA is already trusted by more than 40,000 members for its reliable leadership, making the PDA the largest pharmacist leadership organisation in the UK.
