Clinical Pharmacy Congress North: 1-2 November 2024

Clinical Pharmacy Congress (CPC) North is returning this November following the success of the inaugural CPC North last year, which saw over 1,200 pharmacy professionals in Manchester for an enriching and engaging experience.

Fri 1st - Sat 2nd November 2024

Elsy Gomez Campos

Immediate Past President of the PDA BAME Network

Elsy has worked in the pharmacy industry for over 20 years. Her experience expands across different sectors of pharmacy including hospital, home care GP practice, NHS commissioning and primary care.

Elsy’s passion for equality and diversity led her to establish the UK Black Pharmacist Association (UKBPA) where she passionately speaks against inequality and raises awareness of the discrimination her members face day to day. Elsy also seeks to highlight the exceptional contributions Black pharmacists make to the pharmacy profession.

Elsy has been a PDA member since 2002 and served as a PDA Regional Committee member for the South East region for several years. By training as a representative for the region, Elsy is very familiar with the way the union operates and its commitment to equality and diversity.

Nahim Khan

PDA BAME Network co-opted committee member

Nahim has worked in all the major sectors of pharmacy, including hospital (both general and mental health) and industry. Nahim’s past experience also includes being a full-time community locum. Nahim currently works in hospital, community pharmacy, and academia.

Nahim wanted to share his lived experiences and raise the voices of others to improving the lives of pharmacists. Nahim was co-opted on to the PDA BAME committee over three years ago. Nahim has participated in the PDA BAME steering meetings and helped facilitate member engagement events. Nahim is also a co-opted member of the North Regional committee.

Deborah Nyaberi

PDA BAME Network co-opted committee member

Deborah qualified in 2023 and initially worked as a locum in community pharmacy before becoming a Pharmacy Manager more recently for a small independent.

She has been active as a co-opted committee member for the BAME Network since she was a trainee pharmacist and is passionate about improving health inequalities.
