  The final stage of the 2021 pay talks for pharmacists at Boots begins on 18 November after no agreement could be reached by the two parties.

  A number of Boots pharmacists have been impacted by a company decision to close some of its pharmacies due to business reasons, which are located within a larger retail store, and the PDA is supporting members with any consequences for their work.

  With the PDA as the formally recognised representative for employed pharmacists at Lloyds, the union has been able to confirm details of the company decision to temporarily reduce operating hours of some branches within Sainsbury's stores.

  It has been confirmed that private equity business AURELIUS has agreed an acquisition of McKesson UK from the McKesson Corporation for £477M in what will be the largest transaction undertaken by AURELIUS since being established in 2005.

  Pay talks covering 6,000 pharmacists employed by Boots, ongoing since the summer, reach a crucial point as PDA Union members reject the company offer of a sub-inflationary 2% increase to pay (plus 0.38% lump sum).
