Government finally announces NHS pay award

The Independent Pay Review Body (IPRB) recommendation to increase Agenda for Change pay rates by 3% backdated to 1 April is accepted in full by the UK government. The increase applies to NHS employees in England and is likely to be replicated by the devolved administrations in Northern Ireland and Wales.

PDA membership numbers have increased by more than 15% in two years

Even more pharmacists have joined the PDA and a report to the PDA Union annual meeting today confirmed numbers are now at a new record high. The PDA is the largest UK pharmacists’ membership organisation by a significant measure.

Stop “Fire and rehire”

Help raise the profile of community pharmacy funding in England

The PDA support the 38 Degrees petition, created by the NPA, that calls on the Westminster government to recompense pharmacies for the extra costs they have incurred by staying open to provide health services during the COVID-19 pandemic. The petition now has almost 100,000 signatures, but needs more to make sure politicians and the general public know about this issue.
