The awards paid tribute to the hard work of those working in pharmacy and the positive impact they have on their patients and peers. The PDA was delighted to once again sponsor the Student Leadership category of the awards. The winner of this category was Caitríona O’Driscoll, a pharmacy student at Cardiff University.
Pharmacy Student Leadership Award winner, Caitríona O’Driscoll, Cardiff University, with the PDA’s Alison Jones, and Swansea University’s Professor Andrew Morris.
Each year, the PDA sponsors the Student Leadership category of the Welsh, Northern Ireland and Scottish Pharmacy Awards and a PDA representative is there to present the award to the winner.
On the night there was an announcement of the 2021 Special Recognition Award honouree – which, for the first time, was dedicated to the entire Welsh pharmacy community in tribute to their collaborative efforts, commitment, and resilience in the face of unprecedented Covid-19 pressures. The evening also raised funds for this year’s nominated charity and the PDA’s charity partners, Pharmacist Support.
