PDA members who joined got to hear the PDA’s position on this year’s pay negotiations informed by the work of Paul Moloney, PDA National Officer. Members were then asked to share their views on what would constitute an acceptable outcome, and whether they thought asking simply for an increase to base pay was agreeable, or if they wanted to explore any additional elements added to the pay claim submission.
Sunny Kwan, a PDA member working for LP HCS in the northeast of England said, “I want to say thank you for organising the meeting last week about pay negotiation and I really appreciate the chance for all of us to express our opinions.”
The discussions went on to inform the final submission to the company, which was made before the end of January. The first meeting of the negotiating teams for LP HCS and the PDA will be on 5 March in Warwick.
PDA members will be invited to a further meeting following the commencement of these negotiations.
Paul Flynn, PDA National Officer for Scotland said, “I’d strongly encourage all members within LloydsPharmacy Healthcare Services to get involved and have their say on their pay progression. The more members involved the stronger our position.”
Any members who attended the event and have any questions or feedback are encouraged to email [email protected].
