The latest data on GPhC pharmacy premises inspections covers a reduction in the number of ‘routine’ inspections and an increase in the number of concerns reported to the GPhC. Some of these concerns are related to the public, the employer, professional and more.
The PDA has produced a report covering the latest data and discusses how pharmacies have repeatedly failed to meet premises inspections. The report also discusses how inspections that met the GPhC’s standards for governance and staffing had a clear ongoing patient safety risk.
