Now in its 17th year, the EWPM will take place on Saturday 23 September 2023. The EWPM is organised in a different country every year and this year will be held in Maastricht in the Netherlands.
The EWPM chooses a current issue every year. This year the topic of the meeting will be ‘From Puberty to Menopause: Pharmacists supporting Women’s Reproductive Health.’ The entire cycle of women will be discussed, drug use during pregnancy, (hormonal) therapy during menopause, and the accessibility of contraception for women in various European countries. Themes that many pharmacists encounter during their work.
NAWP President, Ayah Abbass will be representing the network at the meeting.
“I am so proud NAWP has always supported the European Women Pharmacists Meeting. We can proudly say we have been very involved in helping and supporting this event yearly. I look forward to this year’s event in beautiful Maastricht. This year’s EWPM is focusing on how pharmacists can support women’s reproductive health from puberty to menopause. This is a very important topic that impacts every woman and NAWP is here to support it. I encourage everyone to sign up and attend this meeting. I have attended several meetings for EWPM with our committee member Nicola and past president Anita White and have seen how hard they are working to arrange this incredible event. Looking forward to meeting everyone and learning from this incredible event,” Ayah commented.
