NAWP produces breast cancer awareness factsheet

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month where people all over the world show their support for everyone affected by breast cancer. This month, NAWP has produced an information factsheet to help raise awareness of breast cancer and highlight the signs and symptoms of breast cancer in women, men and transgender women.

Breast cancer is scary but early detection can improve outcomes. Early signs of breast cancer can be a lump in the chest, painful or itchy breasts, and even an unusual discharge from one nipple.

Those with any of these symptoms should discuss this with a doctor who can refer them for a Mammogram and any further checks that are needed.

NAWP has produced a factsheet to:

  • Raise awareness and highlight the signs and symptoms of breast cancer in women, men and transgender women.
  • Raise awareness of employees’ rights at work and support that can be available for those diagnosed with breast cancer or caring for someone affected by cancer.
