The two-day conference will again be taking place at ExCeL London from 12 – 13 May. The conference is a great opportunity for clinical pharmacy professionals from across the UK to come together and be inspired and network with peers. This year there will be over 250 speakers and more than 150 exhibitors.
WHAT THE PDA IS UP TO AT THE SHOW
The PDA will be delivering two sessions at CPC this year:
Managing the risk of Antimicrobial Resistance from conflict zones (lessons from the war in Ukraine)
Strategy and Policy theatre, Friday 12 May, 09:30 am – 10:00 am
The Employed Pharmacists of Europe Federation (EPhEU) has been actively involved in getting vital medicines to Ukraine, alongside helping understand the risk of antimicrobial resistance caused by conflict and the displacement of populations. This issue needs to be understood and considered an emergency. Whether caused by natural disaster or war, there is a need for decision-makers to act around AMR strategy and how practitioners care for patients.
Neurodiverse and disabled pharmacists, securing workplace inclusion
Leadership & Professional Development theater, Saturday 13 May, 2:15 pm – 03:00 pm
With many employers facing recruitment and retention challenges, every employee should matter, yet too often talent is wasted due to failure to secure the full contribution of individuals that happen to be neuro diverse of have some form of physical or mental health condition. This session shares learning from the PDA Ability Network as to what needs to change in order to ensure disability is not a barrier to full inclusion.
