Morrisons pharmacists may be impacted by hours reduction

The PDA will be supporting their members employed at Morrisons to deal with any potential impact from a reported decision to reduce the operating hours in 'a number' of the CCA member's 117 pharmacies later this year.

PDA publishes innovative proposals around opportunities for post-Covid-19 pharmaceutical care

A report by the PDA proposes a more integrated healthcare system that could enable pharmacists to provide effective and more efficient care to patients. This integrated system aligns with the PDA’s Wider Than Medicines initiative to better utilise the skills of pharmacists as experts in medicines and the provision of pharmaceutical care.

Humza Yousaf must enable ‘special measures’ to protect patients from unnecessary pharmacy closures

The PDA says that the Scottish Health Secretary must now ensure the regulation of poor business behaviours and be prepared to take over rogue pharmacies, however large their corporate owner may be. If patients’ access to NHS services is to be protected from the consequences of avoidable full or part-day pharmacy closures.

Don’t miss the deadline for registering for reasonable adjustments for the November 2022 assessment

The GPhC and the PSNI have committed to implementing learnings from the problematic Summer 2022 assessment which was run by the new online provider (BTL Group LTD). Many candidates will be planning to sit and some of the trainees who are eligible from England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland, may require a reasonable adjustment in November 2022.
