The PDA is calling on pharmacists in Northern Ireland to support the campaign for improved employment rights via the Good Jobs Bill (GJB).
This is not a radical piece of legislation. The GJB simply affords vulnerable and precarious workers here basic protections, aims to improve work/life balance and strengthen worker voice through trade union representation for the benefit of workers, employers, and the economy.
As part of the Irish Congress of Trade Unions Northern Ireland Committee (ICTU-NIC) the PDA is working with trade union colleagues across all industries and sectors to secure these rights for workers and their families.
The PDA is now asking all members in NI to urgently send the draft template letter below to their Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA). Members are free to amend the letter to their circumstances.
PDA members are also encouraged to share with friends and family, and anyone else who cares about employment rights in Northern Ireland. Those getting involved can also use their social media to express to MLAs their support for the immediate passage of the Good Jobs Bill to the Assembly.
It’s time to demand that Stormont delivers for working people!
