“I love the new PDA Education section done by the PDA this year to help offer some revision support for free as well. It feels like the PDA is the only organisation that truly cares about pharmacy students, trainees, and pharmacists and doesn’t try to take advantage of us by making us pay high fees for resources. Big thank you PDA!”

  • PDA has been extremely useful in supporting me in raising concerns at my workplace.

“I would just like to let you know that my union representative was really instrumental in securing my redundancy from my employer. I was extremely nervous about the whole process and it was really reassuring to have her present at the meetings. My manager was noticeably affected by their presence and I think I was lucky in this respect!  She is a lovely rep and made me feel confident about approaching the subject of redundancy as I wasn’t at all sure to begin with. It has been a really tough few months and I am grateful that the PDA is able to support us as pharmacists. I would like to thank you all.”

  • I just wanted to let you know that I passed my exam. Words can’t even explain how I feel I’ve been sat crying in disbelief all day. Massive Thank you for all the support you and the PDA have offered me I will never forget it or how helpful you have all been. You gave me hope when I was losing hope. I’m truly grateful.

I am an absolute advocate of your organisation and there have been times in my career when you have been absolutely the protector of my reputation. Your work for the profession is absolutely invaluable and on a personal level my life would have been very different without your help.

  • All I can say is to keep up the good work because you really cannot even begin to understand the difference you make to pharmacists' lives, especially mine.

  • I have never felt like someone had my back more. He gave me the confidence I needed in the meetings to say what needed to be said and to assert my point without feeling intimidated.

Your team has been so supportive in giving me advice and helping with ensuring that process has been followed in a way that is in my best interest. Her advice has been absolutely spot on every time and her clear, concise communication has ensured that in those moments of panic when perhaps you aren’t thinking straight I have known exactly what I needed to do.

  • My purpose today is to just say thank you, words that I don't think are said enough. Once again in my times of trouble your team has come to my rescue.

  • I reached out to the PDA as I needed help with my appeal for my assessment sitting, due to personal circumstances. The PDA caseworker took the time to listen to my case. They supported me with the appeal paperwork and gave me appropriate guidance and advice.

“I have been a member of the PDA since I qualified as a pharmacist and I believe it is the only organisation that truly represents individual pharmacists. A while ago, I was involved in a dispensing error where my employer would not pay damages to the patient and the patient wanted to sue me personally, until the PDA intervened and eventually the employer’s indemnity insurance had to settle with the patient. One thing that the PDA has done in the past year that I feel proud of is getting recognition within LloydsPharmacy and developing a positive working relationship with the employer on pharmacist issues.”

“I would like to thank the PDA for all their support and understanding throughout my time as an MPharm student at the University during the COVID-19 pandemic. The PDA have gone above and beyond to help my voice be heard by the university and supported me with an academic misconduct allegation where I felt it was near impossible for me to prove my innocence as university invigilators where not present. Becoming a PDA member is the best thing I have done as a student and I urge all pharmacy students to join the PDA.”

  • "The extra effort that you have all gone to - writing questions, launching the revision programme, doing a webinar, has been so useful to me and the support has been amazing."
